1. Introduction

Body awareness is something that we are born with. Everybody carries it within, but unfortunately, many of us lose contact with this awareness.  During pregnancy and the birth of your baby, embodiment, body awareness and being connected to your body an amazing instrument. Growth and birth is a collaboration between you, your body and your baby. When you can make this connection stronger during your pregnancy and learn how to listen to it, you will know what your body needs during pregnancy and birth. In every paragraph of this chapter, I will share one or several practices and inspiring stories with you, so you can create more body awareness inside of you step by step.
